Okay the Poke'mon cards thread had some Yu-Gi-Oh fanboys post in it. Everyone knows Yu-Gi-Oh cards are inferior to Poke'mon! Poll!

To be honest both shows were horrible.

Yugioh: The guy plays 5 cards, each with its own ridiculous back story and everyone makes random experssions.

Pokemon: Ash walks a thousand miles capturing the crappiest of pokemon to battle dudes.

Yu-Gi-Oh was funny because throughout the course of the battle, they would get injured and their clothes would rip as they lost more and more life points. I remember there was a point in the show where people lost entire limbs to the Shadow Realm. If I recall correctly, there was a part where someone was dueling with just one of his eyes left. :lol:

The Pokemon show was great when I was a kid, but I got tired of it after he goes to Johto after he loses to that other guy with the Pikachu. I've tried watching it recently and it does not hold up well at all. Yu-Gi-Oh still manages to be entertaining because of people like Kaibah and Pegasus.

As much as I like Dragonball, what does this have to do with the thread besides it being an anime as well? -__-

If you guys enjoyed Dragonball (especially the original series when Goku is a kid), you will absolutely LOVE One Piece in Japanese. That show is absolutely amazing in every way.

Video games: Pokemon, by a mile.

Card game: Yugioh, Pokemon cards were more like baseball cards then an actual card game.

Shows: Equally bad now. Though when I was kid Pokemon was great.

Yu-Gi-Oh is the better card game.

Play Magic, the superior card game.

Best card game was Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon Hand held games were the bomb though...Best show, I give it to Digimon over those two, and if you want to go further out into that, I liked DBZ the best.

Balance and mechanics wise, Pokemon is better. It's simpler, less broken, and you don't need to take a college course to understand the rules.

It's also cheaper.

Is it really Nostalgia when both games still exist and are still popular?

Haven't the rules for the yu-gi-oh card game changed liked 5 times since it was started? Then you have the new gen cards that seem to have better abilities then the previous ones no?

Yu-Gi-Oh cards are so much better.

I grew up with the good ol' pokemans.

Overall I enjoyed playing Yu-Gi-Oh! much more than Pokémon.

Pokémon is funny. That's about it. YGO is the better game though lol.

I like Yu-Gi-Oh cards more than the Pokemon cards.
