As much as I wish people didn't hate and discriminate so viciously, it would tamper with freedom of speech to make these kinds of things illegal.

If certain words become illegal, suddenly there's a huge slippery slope to worry about.

Because it's the job of the police to uphold law and order, and that includes preventing riots? Anyway, I'm not sure what you mean about how racism should be illegal. You can't apply law to someone's mental attitude, only their actions, and to act upon racism is often illegal.

its their job

freedom of speech and assembly

I agree, but like the old saying goes "Well I hate what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"

The US has a lot of freedoms. But these do, in fact, come at a cost. It is up to us to determine when the balance gets out of line.

Now, we could vote to outlaw the assembling of racist groups, but then that would lead to the banning of more groups.

In conclusion, to enjoy freedom, we must endure a few bad apples. I for one think it is worth it.

agree, the police have to protect all people even the horrible ones they cant pick who to keep safe and who not, racisim is just stupid but cant control who people feel and what they think.

Do you want the government to be able to control who can and can't speak their minds, as long as they are doing so peacefully?

Everybody has the right to free speech. Doesn't mean we have to agree with them but we do have to accept it.

Free speech, it's not exclusive to anyone and it applies to all people, even them.

you cant outlaw freedom of speech.

if they outlawed ideas they dont agree with, your ideas somewhere down the line might be against the law.

people are allowed to voice any opinion they have even if its completely hateful.

Im 50 percent slavic, so I have no love for nazism. They have every right to say what they want.
