It is impossible in this day and age to say something without offending people, and by people I mean pussies, sissies, losers whatever they're called cause you can fit that description for all sjws, politically correct, vegans, feminists etc. I hope when Trump becomes prez these people will grow a pair and realise you can't change the world, you adapt to it and a good start would be to harden the **** up and shut the **** up. People do get offended by everything nowadays, just like how you TC get offended that others get offended by things you don't get offended by.

I do think people get way too easily offended about a lot of stuff, but there's no way in hell TC isn't a troll.

"Libel" has nothing to do with being offended. Libel is about lying about people.

I don't know exactly what Trump's ideas for that were, but tougher laws to stop lying, as long as you properly demonstrate your case, don't seem inherently bad. The media does lie it's ass off quite a lot of the time.

When CNN just add the word "racial" to Trump's statement about profiling (when he didn't mention race at all) purely because they wanted to race-bait, we would all be far better off if there was a punishment for them doing that.

It's not people getting offended that's a problem. Most people get offended by things.

The problem is people who think the fact that they're offended means that other people have to adjust their behaviour, especially when that behaviour is in the form of some public service, expression or creation (because you'll therefore be depriving everyone else of it). We live in an age of mass intolerance where whole generations of people just haven't been taught the value of tolerating things you dislike so that other people will return the favour.

The principle is remarkably simple: If you can ignore something, don't complain about it. The only things you should ever be complaining about are the ones you can't avoid. That's the social contract. If people just followed that, the world works so much better.

You should probably take a note from the TC and "harden up" and "grow a pair."

Donald Trump is the guy who threatened to sue The Onion over a joke. He is the same guy who has blacklisted a lot of media for not singing sunshine and rainbows on him. It is pretty clear where he would be going with these anti libel laws. He would try to make the entirety of America his safe space, and it isnt only the media he wants to censor either, he wants to censor the internet too. And there was nothing legally wrong with adding racial infront of profiling. Its called paraphrasing. Hardly anything that should be illegal.

We have seen these anti libel pushing in the past. The end results have always been the same. "It is untrue because I dont like it."

Sounds like the anti-PC crowd has been severely triggered. Make sure they get a safe space being thin skinned and all.
