late 60's and 70's. During this time Rock was perfected. Around the mid 80s it started sucking.

70's!!! 60's make second, but the music (mostly the rock music) of the 70's holds most of my favorites ;)

90's - and if you think otherwise you are musically challenged

ps. if you think 80's your crazy, the 80's was the worst decade of music EVER

R-Dot-Yung

The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Hendrix, The Doors, its the 60's so you must be musically challenged but the 80's were the worst decade in musical history.

As far as popular music goes, they were all good (60's-present).

I can't choose a favorite, though.

That is a really tough question. Specific genres had their better decades.

60s, 80s, and 90s were good though. Hell, the 70s too.

Every grunge band , Rage Against the Machine , Smashing Pumpkins , Oasis , Radiohead , etc etc etc ... all I can think of the 60's were the Beatles and the Rolling Stones ... and the Who.There were so many good bands of the 90's , even if you did'nt like them. The 90's were huge.

To each his own. Comparing different genres and saying one is more talented than the other makes no sense. Twice as loved? I bet there's thousands of people who loved the 90's Seattle grunge wave.Basically, you're always gonna find people who like the kind of music you like, so comparing different genres is stupid.

No ... actually , Bob Dylan and Kurt Cobain are basicly in the same mould. They both were not the most glamorous of guitar players , but they wrote great music ... And a band like Alice In Chains , with a guitarist like Jerry Cantrell ... he's better than any guitarist the 60's has ever produced. And don't say that they were twice as loved either.Nirvana , much like the Beatles , Rolling Stones , The Who are much loved today aswell.Same goes for bands like the Smashing Pumpkins , Oasis etc ...

I never said Rage were grunge , I seperated them from the grunge bands by putting their name after "All the grunge bands" ;)

Hendrix, Clapton, and Harrison alone are 100 times better than Cantrell, and your an idiot if you think otherwise, The Beatles were and still are much much much more loved than Nirvana, and Dylan was a much better songwriter than Cobain.

Even if you only think of The Beatles, The Stones, The Who, and Dylan, they were twice as big as all those bands you listed, twice as talented, and twice as loved.

To each his own. Comparing different genres and saying one is more talented than the other makes no sense. Twice as loved? I bet there's thousands of people who loved the 90's Seattle grunge wave.Basically, you're always gonna find people who like the kind of music you like, so comparing different genres is stupid.

No, people didnt love Seattle grudge like The Bealtes were loved, Beatlemania.

My God ... yes they did.You obviously don't realise how popular grunge was.

I lived through it and it wasn't even on the same scale as beatlemania.

Mabey not where you came from , but Grunge was extremely popular all over America and the UK , and most of Europe.

*Sigh* no comment ..

Give me one good reason why the 90's were better than the 60's.

Yes it was popular but not earthshattering like The Bealtes.
