Poll finds over 90 percent of American adults believe in God

Link to the Newsweek article below. Personally it seems that the demographics are quickly changing. I doubt such a high percentage will continue to exist. I also find it difficult to believe that over half of Americans reject the theory of evolution...

I second that remark. So people that believe in God/a higher being are automatically not intelligent? Obviously you haven't met my grandpa; professor of electrical engineering at BYU (highly rated university), does consulting for Intel, is very well read on many different things, was invited to give a lecture in Paris France this past December, and is also creating a new circuit... so don't make ignorant comments like that just because you don't believe in a god or a higher power. Making a comment like that makes you look like the unintelligent kid around here...

I think that statistic is more or less accurate, but it really depends on one's interpretation of what it means to "beleive"

God exists as much as the individual person believe he exists. God may exist very much to one person, but not at all to another. I believe in the possibility that a higher force exists. Whether that force is your God or not is trivial.
