Poll: Is Apathy A Solution?

lately i've just been feeling really lethargic, I can barely move from my couch. I never thought I'd become apathetic about stuff but lately I just cant be bothered

is apathy the solution?

In most cases I cannot be arsed, but in some cases I can but don't get round to it.

I couldn't care less if I were apathetic or not.

No, I am actually a very loving guy. Just not when it comes down to politics.

I stopped caring about a lot of things about a decade ago and learned to just take care of my own little patch of reality.

1. In order for there to be a solution, a solution must be found.

2. In order for a solution to be found, there must first be a problem acknowledged for which a solution is required.

3. For one to acknowledge a problem, one must first be concerned about whether or not there is a problem.

4. For one to be concerned about whether or not there is a problem, one must not be apathetic about whether or not there is a problem.

Therefore:

5. If one is apathetic, there cannot be a solution.

6. If there can be no solution, then nothing can be a solution.

Therefore:

8. Apathy cannot be a solution.

9. Apathy is not a solution.

No, if everyone is apathetic we would still be living in caves and we wouldn't be able to have this wonderful conversation because no one would have bothered to invent computers, there is also a good chance we would be extinct as our greatest strength is analysing a problem then forming a possible solution to it, without that we are pretty much defenceless.bean-with-bacon

I don't care if you don't care, but I can't become apathetic. In my society I'm supposed to vote regardless of the rhetoric. We may have a right not to care, but I still want a right to buy my own brand of underwear. It's decidedly pathetic to decide to be apathetic.

Methinks you just feel overwhelmed by life. That is the wrong attitude, yet nonetheless, hard to escape from, especially with a poor introduction to the world.

Occaisionally. I really can't get myself to care about my future enough.

I guess it could be a solution to some things... If you've become to a bit more apathetic towards a painful past, then maybe that's when you understand that it's time to let go.
