poll is nirvana the best band ever

imo they are just because they introduced the new style of rock to the world they killed the old style of popular rock and made grunge popular

and at the time were considored the best band in the world so do you still like there music or have you never liked it

Nirvana isn't bad, but are terribly overrated. Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam were much better grunge bands.GabuEx

Given that I live right near Kurt Cobain's hometown, I imagine that more people here like them than dislike them. Heck, I don't dislike them; I just don't think they're anywhere near the best band ever.

Sorry to say this but except for "Smells like Teen Spirit" and "Come as you Are", in all of their songs (and I think I have heard all their albums) the singer was growling without any melody that I could understand. It seemed... tiring. I mean I heard him growl, spiting his lungs out, and I felt so fatigued as I heard him.

But this is just my opinion. That's why I voted "no"

Uh, no. There were a myriad of reasons: he was a drug addict, he found it increasingly difficult to maintain an anti-commercial stance with the band's increasing popularity, he didn't find joy in writing music anymore, and a few other reasons, none of which include him thinking his band sucked.

No they aren't. I used to like them a few years ago but now I hate them.
They never killed the 80s music either, I always hear people say they killed the glam rock bands, or whatever they are called.
Nirvana never did that, but yeah I hate them.
