I dunno, just some things I don't really like. Meat pie is one.Meat pie is a euphemism for something else, and I'm not getting duped into saying something else like I do in school, so I'm going with fruit pie ftw!
Don't ask this in here they thought that cheescakes were pies t'other day! These people have no understanding of quality pies
I like both equally but I would choose meat pies every time and then just eat some fruit :P
meat pies ftw!
fruit pies are a close second.
but I would definately take a custard-based pie (coconut cream, banana cream, pumpkin, etc) over a meat pie.
I wouldn't even eat a meat pie. That just sounds so unappealing. Guess it's something you have to grow up with. raven_squad
i agree, it does sound awful.
but once you taste one...oh man...flaky pastry dough...seasoned meat...not to mention the variety:
chicken pot pies
sausage meat pies (sausage wrapped in pastry dough, like pigs in a blanket almost
regular meat pies (seasoned ground meat, usually beef, baked in pastry dough)
Well its like stew... with a biscuit wrapped around it... a thin biscuit. And if your veggie, then i would try to make just a stew base with just veggies and no meat, i would imagine that would taste completely awesome for a veggie. :)Meat pie just sounds repulsive. Actually I don't like pie at all.

You have never heard of "pot pies"? usually comes in chicken or beef. (as i said previously, the filling is like stew, so you get carrots, green beans, peas, and potatoes with gravy for filling).. Oh and turkey too.I've never had, nor do I intend to ever have, meat pie. Sounds gross. I'll stick with my fruit pies.

What do you call our equivalent of biscuits? xhellcatxActually there is nothing really sold here commercially that comes close to American biscuits. I suppose scones are somewhat similar, but I had to write to my ex's American relatives to get an authentic buttermilk biscuit recipe because they are just unheard of here. It's a shame because they are awesome tasty goodness and most here don't know what they missing out on. I wish McDonalds and K.F.C. would sell them here, nothing goes with greasy food quite so well as a warm flaky American biscuit!

You can get a chicken pot pie at KFC or any supermarket. What's wrong with that?:?
I don't know why you all like fruit pies, meat pies are the awesome snack/lunch.
I found hot squashy fruits disgusting, and spent half of my life in Australia, maybe that's why.
oh pics
