1. Kilometres or Miles?

2. Metres or Feet?

3. Kilograms or Pounds?

4. CM or Inches?

I use metric system, imo it's easier because 1000m = 1km and 1000g = 1kg instead.

Miles is better than kilometre's, going at 60miles per hour means you go a mile a minute. :) It's more simple.

Hah, I feel stupid now, I never thought of that, too warped into the imperial units to even think about metric. >_>

Metric like the rest of the world. It's also in System International, so it's a double WIN. :)

Imperial, because it's what I was raised with. I still describe some things in centimeters rather than inches though.

Since I'm from the states, I use the units they do. If I was from another country, I would use that system. Not a big decision.

I don't use the metric system unless I'm conducting some form of science and want other people from around the world to understand what I'm talking about... rest of the time I use the American way.

Hehe, shot down. Besides it's how long a mile is or how long a KM is thats important. 1 mile = 10 km 1km = 1000 metres 1 metres = 100 centimetres 1 cm = 10 millimetres 1 mm = well...we don't use that much. Soo..the math by this system is easy: 1 mile = 10 000 metres or 1 000 000 cm

1. Kilometres. 2. Metres 3. I'm in Canada, and I only know my weight in kilos but most people use pounds. So I say "I'm around 50-55 kg which I think is 115 lbs." 4. I know my exact height in centimetres, but as I said above, I live in Canada where most people use inches. I hate imperial with a passion.

Not really. In Canada people use pounds (for personal weight) and inches (for personal height) as opposed to kilograms (still used for food though) or kilometres (still used for distance).

Also, in the UK they use miles for distance and "stones" (or w/e) for weight So it has some imperial as well.

I think the whole English world as well as some European countries use inches for personal height, shame, centimetres is so awesome.

I generally use imperial.... Would vastly prefer to use metric, but since everything here is in imperial... I HATE IMPERIAL 3 4 10 12 5280 random numbers.. that's all they picked... completely random.. probably was like: "Sir, how many feet will be in a mile?" "Hmm.. well, let's roll the dice a few thousand times." "Sir, I-I--I kinda was meaning to say 10, 100 or a 1000" "Too late punk, I'm the king... 5280 it is!".

I use the Imperial. There is really no reason to switch when it comes to every day use of the systems; I don't see the big fuss. Take any type of science class in America and you will learn/use the metric system.

I use both since I'm Canadian in engineering but I've always preferred measuring my height in feet, screens in inches, and my weight in pounds. When it comes to measuring and calculations, metric wins without a doubt.
