I definitely think so. Bringing a baby to a movie is like bringing a radio to the movie and turning it on at different points during the film. If parents can't find someone to watch their baby then they should just wait till the movie comes out on DVD. I pay good money to see a movie and I shouldn't have it ruined cause some foolish parents have to bring their newborn to the theater.

There should be a basket outside. Deposit your baby before entering and collect it after the movie.

What about kid's movies, like that awful Elmo movie? Or that awful Disney movie? Or that awful kids movie? Other than that, leave the kid at home. You know, unless you want a child to see somebody's stomach ripped in half and a naked guy go up in flames searching for some cure.

Obviously you must be in the wrong theatre if you have kids cryin. But at the same token, it should be the parents problem to make it quiet and all...Or get a babysitter...I unno.

I mean, take the kid out if its cryin. Simple as that. I paid 10 somethin to watch my movie in good peace...Please make that baby shut the .. :D thanks

I agree. They should get a babysitter if they want to go to the movies. If they can't find one, they can stay home and watch TV instead. Bringing a baby along is totally inconsiderate.

haha same.

as for me, I'm getting a sitter when my kid pops out and I want to go to the movies. The kid isn't going to a theater until it's old enough to understand that you sit still and quiet and watch the movie. It'll probably be a disney movie or Pixar movie anyway cause I need someone to go with me for those and my guy doesn't always like them. but anyway, nope, munchkins should be left at home or in the car. just don't forget to crack the windows. :P

I agree, I have 2 bad experiences from this. Tonight watching Iron Man because the stupid mother wouldn't leave when her child began crying and when I went to go see the Blair Witch Project. This lady brought her kid and the kid started crying halfway through the movie all the way to the end. I was going to start yelling at the mother, but was pinned in my aisle and couldn't...

No one should EVER bring a baby into a movie! Not only is it annoying for the audience, but the loud sounds will obvously scare the baby, and Im very sure its not good for its ears nor eyes.

Leaving their babies at home is not something that should be required, however, I would say something that most certainly should be done. It is not only distracting and annoying to the viewers, however, imagine, to the mother as well.

That, and gotta imagine not exactly preferred environment to have baby in.

When I saw Iron Man a few days ago, there were TWO babies directly in front of me and one annoying toddler to my left that kept singing and wandering up and down the aisles. Stupid, stupid parents right there.

God Dammit, I voted no because I jumped to the conclusion that the TC was talking about having babies actually on film in a movie.

If I had been less hasty I would have said HELL YES. This society caters too much to mothers. Its become the norm that a mother can take her baby almost anywhere these days, to a movie, to a ceremony, to a restaurant or cafe. Well its NOT okay, its NOT appropriate and its bloody rude.

At my sister's graduation some stupid woman brought her baby and her toddler, they wailed and jumped across the seats respectively, throughout the WHOLE goddam ceremony. If I was closer I would have been tempted to give her a good slap and a boot up the arse for being so unapologetically rude.

I don't care if you breast feed your child. Go right AHEAD make my FREAKING DAY. I don't give a damn because its not something that I can't NOT notice. I can look away. But I can't just shut my ears when your little brat wails at the theatre. That defeats the $15 dollar admit fee I payed.

Honestly its pointless taking a baby to a movie and people shouldn't do it. The baby can't watch the movie and will only distract everyone else trying to watch it. If the parent can't hire a baby sitter or geting someone to mind the baby, then they should just wait for the movie to come on DVD. If the baby cries the mother wont be watching the movie, they'll be looking after their baby and it just makes everyone else miss out on whats going on.

Not only is it inconsiderate to the viewers, but the parents often take the kids to movies that are not appropriate for their age. When I saw Cloverfield, a couple brought their 3 year-old daughter in with them, and had to leave before the party at the beginning. Parents need to be more responsible with their kids.

You should never bring a kid to a movie not suited for them. If I wanted to hear kids crying and screaming while I was watching a movie I would go see Barney.

I don't always want to go see an R rated movie. Maybe the movie I want to see is rated PG-13 or PG, but isn't suited for small children. That said some parents decided to bring their kids to R-rated movies and they end up ruining it for everyone.
