Great movies from all time periods but as far as like quality as a whole from that decade I'd have to say either 90s or the current decade.

Of those, I'd say 90's Pulp Fiction, Forrest Gump, Shawshank Redemption, Saving Private Ryan, Shindler's List, Toy Story, and so on!

yea. dont forget: Escape from Alcatraz, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Clockwork Orange, and Rocky. and there were tons of great sci-fi movies too like Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, Star Wars, and Alien. so for me, easily the 70's. of course that seems to be my favorite time for music too. so i may be a tad biased.

Probably the 90s. Maybe the 80s. I haven't seen a whole lot of movies from before then, though.

2000's. I feel that cinema is a very progressive industry. It's an industry where the classics never grow stale, and will always influence future creations.

I think it will only get better with time. 8)

Every decade has great films, but I have noticed a lot of my favorites are from the 60's and 50's. I do feel sadly that when it comes to films 90's is very lacking for me.

there are so many more movies coming out this decade, so the chances are a few of them will be awesome.

90's movies seemed to be the most original.

Not sure really. Honestly, I don't usually care when a movie came out, so I'd never be able to pin down a certain decade.

90's

And many, many more.

Then would come the 70's, which was all because of the first Star Wars. Otherwise, I would not like the 70's at all :D

It at least seems like the 70's had a huge amount of amazing movies. I could name tons of classics from that decade, many of which are considered the greatest of all time.

I'd have to say the 2000s followed closely by the 90s. So much terrific movies came out at the turn of the century.

40's and the 70's.

Though to be honest, great films come from all periods...it is really hard to narrow down and choose one, or even two.

I'm going to say the 80's. For one thing, modern comedies are largely crap. I also kind of feel that the characters in 80's movies just tended to be more believable on the whole, even if the stories weren't necessarily any more realistic.

Lots of films from 1980s are pretty good. Some films have bad story, but it's a great film to watch.
