something like that. insurance is the UK is crazy. £1300 full comp. i dont drive yet but i will in a few months when i turn 17 around xmas.

i have a mate (17) with a golf 1.6 it cost him £4000 yet he's oly paying £600 a year for his insurance. Hes on his mothers insurance though.

They're changing the law in May 08 to say we can't drive til we're 18!! But my 17th birthday's in April and as long as I've started driving lessons by May 1st I'll be ok :D Hooray for beating the system!

thanks, its not as bad as I first thought then from what I understood it would be a 12 month "learning" period from 17-18 and you can get your full license when your 18.
