I hate to be the Grammar Police, but I believe your topic title has a misplaced modifier, cause these bands are pretty well known.

Ten Years Gone is my favorite song of all time, and it's definitely one of the lesser known Zeppelin tracks. On the one hand, I love Stairway to Heaven because it's an awesome song, but on the other I hate it because it so drastically overshadows everything else they've ever recorded.

one person in particular comes straight to mind for me...eminem

eminem - never 2 far

eminem - it's ok

eminem - infinite

all from his first underground album "infinite", easily some of his best work imo and my favorite of his albums (although i dont really like a lot of his stuff after 2000/marshall mather lp), and absolutly nobody i personally know ever knew about this stuff, so overlooked

soooo chill and laidback

I'll go with any of ther songs on the only album by Syntax, called Meccanno Mind. Bliss, Pride and Destiny are awesome songs.

But I could go on forever with trance and techno tracks that "aren't well known".

Theres way to many to list. My favorite bands have more b-sides/unknown songs than actual known ones. But some of my favs would have to be....

The Smashing Pumpkins- Slunk- This song is extreamly rare, its off their b-sides from their first album "Gish" Of course you could you tube it (which is sad imo:( )but its just amazing to hear them trying the whole Psychedelic rock mixed with metal.

Nirvana- Gallons of Rubbing Alchol Flows throug Strip Another really rare song. Again, you could youtube it (which is sad ) but very hard Nirvana song to own (and luckly i have it)

The Smashing Pumpkins- Down in a Hole- Epic, SP cover Alice in Chains. This song is another really rare track but you can't find it on youtube or in most websites. Seeing it live was just amazing though.

nirvana - lithium

I know, huge band etc. but people only seem to remember "smells like teen spirit", when there are other songs imo that are just as good, if not superior to it.

And those songs aren't that obscure. Actually, with any popular band even their most obscure stuff isn't probably that unwell known.

talk to 90% of Queen "fans" and mention songs not on their 'Greatest Hits' albums and see how many are known.
