Dude, the new 40 inch bravia costs $5k? It should have cost you about $3k. Am I to assume you are canadian? I actually ended up buying the 40in Samsung 71F, cost be about 2.6k.

but i have a 20 inch LCD HDTV by LG

This tv. 32" LCD 720p Akai. Got it for 275 bucks as a display model at sams club. Cnet, etc has its MSRP at 900 bucks.
