I'm new to the idea of kite boarding and such. And i want to make it my new hobby. Little did I know when first inquiring about this hobby how truly in-depth and complicated as far as what there is to know there is. So of course like most things studied, the more I learned the more my mind changed and what I should do and what I should purchase became different every half hour. I'm a person who will buy the best knowing it'll last me the longest but in the sense of this not necessarily looking for the best I'm looking for the best for my future. I started out thinking okay I'll get this kite hoping that it'll be strong enough to pull me etc etc. Then I realize I wanted an all-around kite I want to not have too buy two or three kites (cant afford) i want to be able to do everything I want a hybrid. Problem is there are a ton of things to look into. So I will give an example of something I was interested in and you hopefully being someone who does this a lot can tell me if I'm going in the right direction. http://www.flexifoil.com/us/products/proton-technical.cfm This kite is a kite i became most interested in. It's style and look is definitely something I'm interested in and at 9m based on charts Studied, my weight of 155 should be perfect. Thing is this is a lot of money and I'm not going to spend all that money on this fabric if I can get something better for a similar price. If i purchase this I assume to be able to do surfing land boarding jumping anything my mind wants. But I also stopped and thought well should I buy what is perfect for my weight or should I be going above what my weight is therefore giving me more lift etc. And I thought well is that a stupid idea because I don't want to have to buy the size kite I think is right and then realize I need more and get screwed out of $700. Idk its scary Thinking about a hobby that I've never seen or heard or known of anyone doing. I just know id love every second of it. Any advice will be greatly apperciated. Weird place to start but this is the only place on the internet i ever post.
