That was harsh of me. I'm sorry. :P I do hope, however, that no one took that YouTube video seriously.
I refused to watch the video, but it humors me how many Atheists and Agnostics are under the dilusion that God will play games with them to prove His existence. He provides all the evidence in the world right in front of thier faces they just choose not to see it. (Last part of last sentence is IMO.)battlefront23
Not watching the video just made you look foolish. (Though the topic creator's post is misleading)

No it doesn't because I wasn't talking merely about that guy; in fact I read the other posts that said it was a joke. I just wanted to point out the fact that Agnostics and Atheists think they can play games with God or at least the idea of Him.

No insult to religion or to prayer.

...I'd respond to this statement about "choosing" what one believes, but so many people make that statement and it has such little effect to address it that I'm not gonna bother. :P

Wow, I never would have guessed you were a McCain supporter:?
It's good to see another republican in this liberal-infested forum:P
bungie93
I know. People kept mistaking me as an Obama supporter so I decided to place that signature up. Technically, I'm libertarian give or take a few issues.
I think the reason why I was mistaken for an Obama supporter was, well besides the fact that I once was before he got the Democratic nomination, I don't like how people label him as a terrorist. In my opinion, that weakens the case for McCain because it puts Obama in the spotlight and gives him more attention than he deserves and Obama feeds off of attention.
I've also been called a brainwashed FOX News watcher and I don't even agree with FNC all of the time. I don't really consider myself to have any ties to one political party or the other though. I just think that McCain is the more experienced candidate for the job of the two top candidates.

According to most atheists, we all go nowhere when we die.

This idealogy will get me nowhere? What do you mean by the word "nowhere"? With converting people?

Choose to believe what you want, but logically speaking you cannot disprove his existance. For all we know, all those myths and legends of most cultures could be 100% reality.

I'm an atheist and yet I find this video very unconvincing. :|
God in the Christian Bible doesn't grant you wisdom just because you prayed for it if you choose not to act in faith.

Well, here's what is probably the fundamental question: what does it mean to believe something?
To have a reasonable body of evidence which points towards one conclusion or another ("evidence" being used fairly loosely here).
[QUOTE="battlefront23"]Again I can't prove that so that's why I put IMO at the end.
GabuEx

Beliefs are a set of things you hold to be truth. ( For a Christian it would be God. For an Atheist, science.) Why do you ask?

I disagree. Christians accept science every bit as much as an atheist. No leap of faith or lack thereof is required.

Yeah but in Christianity what God says holds more weight than what science says.

Either desire, divine providence, or evidence.

This is true, but the two don't have to conflict in my view. If God exists, then He was the one that set forth natural laws that enabled humans to live and die.
