prinetr prob- pls. help!

hi i have an hp dekjet 3550 i hav 2 probs:

1) my colour images have a rainbow coloured strip running on them.

2) the printer cartridge gets jammed at the end of a series of prints, though there isnt any visible obstruction. on switching it off and on, the prob is rectified, but i have to pull out the sheet (the sheet is completely printed). thx!!!

I couldn't tell you without visibly looking at the problem. Who uses printers anyway?

Sounds like you may just need a new printer. Now that printers cost less than ink replacements you might as well get a new one.

Take the cartridge out for the first one, and wipe it and the hole it came out of off with a damp paper towel, and then again with a dry one so there's no "leakage" left over. Should clear up your rainbow stripe issue. HP printers are crap. I have this happen to me too. Love me some HP desktops, but their printers are just a slap in the face. Mine jams with paper, cartridges, everything. has since a few months in. XilePrincess
