Using a predictive model based on an analysis of US election history, Professor Allan Lichtman began forecasting election outcomes in 1984. He has never been wrong. For this election, his model predicts a win for Donald Trump.

Only if Trump manages to get 68% of the white vote. He's hovering around 50% right now, doing worse that McCain and Romney.

I can't wait to see him win and all your trolling will be done.

Maybe he can set up two nations on opposite ends of the country so when the US falls we won't fall into barbarism for 30,000 years.

lol....are you kidding, the trolling would be worse! If you think the trolling of Obama is bad, OMG, it will be 10times worse.Nobody is afraid of Trump, if he does get into office, people will really see how the checks and balances system works in this country.

But what's really sad is that "SOME" of his supporters really think that him getting elected will really make a change in their person life.

I'm honestly torn. Do I want Hillary to win to avoid disaster and get a lot of enjoyment out of gloating and laughing at Trump supporters or do I want Trump to win to show his supporters without a shadow of a doubt what a buffoon and disaster he is? He would be the butt of so many jokes, late night TV will be hysterical. In the end I don't have a high enough risk tolerance and have to go with Hillary.

There's a first time for everything. Can't see trump winning. Even prominent members in the republican party are backing the other candidate. And she sucks.

I'm pretty sure every election cycle there's a few stories about a person or organization that has correctly guessed recent elections. This means nothing, for all we know this man has just been very lucky.

How is that trolling? I really do not see how a competent candidate like McCain or Romney can't win, and someone like Trump can. And looking back at prior elections, both candidates were in far better positions at his point in the campaign.

I have kept my predictions based on poll averages personally, and by that number Hillary is currently winning. Since she started running in June Hillary has gone close to or slightly below Trump's number for a few days once every three months or so, with this month being the big exception.

If history of this campaign proves consistent she will either be back down in November or have a remarkably decent one, but will almost assuredly have a decent October. My theory is that with early voting many people will have already sent in their ballots (and this is already happening) giving Clinton an edge that is a bit more poll proof than usual because it will be too late for people to change their minds.

I personally disagree with this professor's view of Obama's success regarding foreign policy, he's gotten many things done with other countries regarding climate change, nuclear policy with Iran, and restarting foreign relations with Cuba. There's probably stuff I'm forgetting, but it seems that's something Lichtman is wrong about.

Trump winning is very plausible.

He is closer to using the right strategy to win, and voter apathy is on his side. His demographic seems a lot more enthusiastic than the clinton side.

Of course they're the most enthusiastic. Trump's supporters are the most angry and are quick to back the dumbest conspiracies.

Lol, you can go to any large event and find lots of dumb people ... ANY event. The dude could walk around a Clinton rally and put together a video just as ridiculous. Youtube is littered with similar vids where the targets are all different sorts of people. Stupidity is everywhere.

If Hillary loses, the following would happen.

  1. I personally hope the democrats never pick a candidate so out of touch with the US population again.
  2. I would take it as undeniable evidence that the rulebook for political elections has changed.

Yeah. Also, some online polls like on twitter that ask people's opinions about each candidates performance during the debate after the debate will show trump winning like 70% to 30% like what after the CIC forum. His supporters won't admit he lost if he does lose tommorrow's debate.

It's called a sample size. Feel free to cast your vote. There's no evidence that conservatives are more likely to vote on an online poll. That's just funny.
