Ok So my Prom is on May 31st. It's going to cost $100, and I don't have a date for it. Should I go or not? I mean my parents keep saying that you only get one chance which is true. But this is coming out of my pocket, as both my parents don't want to pay for it. Any thoughts? and also is there a way I can still make it fun even though I'm going alone and half my friends aren't even going.
If you're a senior, then I think you should go. Either try to find a date, or go with a group of friends. I know plenty of people that just went with friends and had a great time.
pff graduation has cost me almost $1000 so far and I dont even have my suit or tickets for prom. You should definitly go I'm sooooooo excited for mine, although mines not until June19th. My friends and our dates are going tot he beach for a camp fire after prom. It's gonna be a blast.
I guess I'm going to prom, but only if I think I'll enjoy it. I'm ditching out on our schools Sophomore Party right now simply because I don't think I'd have a good time. I have no idea what to say to you; do what you want to, I don't see what else would be good for something like this.
A lot of my friends didn't go and they regret it. I went and enjoyed it. The only thing I didn't like about prom was all the people who were drunk and drove home. Idiots.

 Where I'm from, there's zero alcohol tolerance policy, there's going to be cops there breathlyzer tests, and all that before we can even get in the building. Furthermore if anybody gets caught it's like a 10 day suspension, and since it is so close to exams it's costly. Yeah the students at my school are pretty bad.

Everyone in every school gets drunk before dances like these. I mean, not everyone, but it happens everywhere, prolifically.

AFTER parties. only an idiot would go to the actual prom drunk.
seriously man, just find a date, just ask some girl thats a friend, it'll be a blast, i went last year, and even though it wasn't my senior prom, it was still a blast. this year, once again, it isn't my senior prom, but i'm looking forward to it anyway. senior year prom is going to be so great
Im not going. Dont have any friends here (and obviously no date). It'll probably suck anyway. Just be negative about the whole thing and you'll feel better about not going.
prom in high school was the biggest waste of $300 (tux, flowers, tix, etc) ever. afterprom was sweet though and only $10. skip prom, get hammered, go to afterprom - you'll be happier. Take remaining $290 and buy a 360 or a new graphics card

Dont get a date and dont go to the prom. Just go to the after partys. And hook up with the girls right there. It will cost you nothing and it will be better. Believe me.
Everyone else has the right idea. Be the guy that shows up to the afterparty, drinks all the beer, breaks stuff, acts obnoxious, and funnels everyone away from the original party to a new one.
You should try to find a date. Even if it is not someone you would like to date. Just a date for the evening. It makes all the difference. And my favorite part about prom was the after parties. There is almost always an after prom party.

When I went, there were several people that could barely stand up at the dance they were so intoxicated.Â
