ps3/bluray player help

hey when i play videos/dvds/blurays on my ps3 the videos play very "bright" like fully using the backlight more than normal, just wondering if i have to change any setitngs of somethign on my TV or something. Also i got a LCD and its connected via hdmi, the contrast for the TV isent like Awsom, but when playing DVDs and videos on my xbox360 or dvd player they seem to play well, and not bright at all

Your TV should let you tone down the backlight (or alternatively, the brightness) in a settings menu for each input.

If it doesn't allow separately calibrated inputs, then you might have to edit one of the presets for PS3 movie use.
