Purchases in my trip to the US of A

Hi i'm going to NY soon on a school trip for a week, i'm going to take $270 with me and was wondering what sort of things I could get which would work back in the UK. Also i have no idea how much things cost there :S

try not to buy any electronics cause its different voltage (110 in the US, 220 in UK)south411

you could just get a diffrent charger if its an iPod ect or just use one of those adapters (cost about £5)

Buy an Ipod since it uses USB. It won't get screwed up from the voltage, plus it will cost about half the price.Headbanger88

See, I'm from NY and went the opposite way to visit you guys. Everything is so much more expensive over there, plus you'll get tons with the exchange rate as it is...but the worst part was gas.

Paying $7 a gallon absolutely killed my wallet...

drugs are harder to find in new york than you would think. if you want marijuana or crack you can get that in about 5 minutes if you are not concerned about the quality. but, if you want more exotic things, you have to know a "guy."
