I used to do 90-120 in sets of 30 with sit-ups in between.

Now I can probably do only 30.

After being so inactive for so long probably no more than 10 to 15. Back in high school I could do 60-70. Nothing stopping me from building it up again though... that is one of my major goals this summer.

Me too :o.

I'm gonna run for real this summer, and do push-ups and sit-ups. Hopefully that'll encourage the girlfriend to... get off the computer.

i just tried, and only managed to get about 20. if my arms weren't sore from working out, i'm sure i would be able to do 40 - 50 in a row without a problem.

I've started doing them regularly again because I was feeling slightly unfit, but I'm only managing about 10-15 before I start to falter.

My upper body strength needs work though.

Isn't it better to go slow? For muscle and strength growth? Just going as fast as you can isn't going to make much difference?

70 to 100 usually.. When I start getting tired in the sets I lower to 50.. Then maybe 35.. I do alot of elevated push ups where my back feet are a foot above the floor on a table or chair or something.. It increases resistance.

I can do 30. But I just bought those handle things that twist with your wrists when doing push ups. I can only do 15 using those.

Proper pushups (form an 'L' with fingers, tuck them up under your boobs, keep your back ramrod straight, and touch your nose to the floor)..........maybe 20 before I cry. All other types I can go for a while. 50ish+ before needing a breather?

Yeah I know what you mean.. But from research I have done it says it does apply more resistance because your funneling more wieght balance on yoru arms.
