You know how foods are solids, and drinks are liquids? Why aren't there gaseous forms of nutrients also? I mean I eat food and drink, but I don't really inhale many types of gases. It is mostly just air. That would be so awesome.

Because your lungs don't digest food, and pumping large quantities of gas into your stomach causes extreme flatulence and pain.

You could absorb it into your bloodstream by inhaling, not going through the digestive system.
