Do most of the great elite QBs, did they come out guns blazing their first year as a rookie? and just kill it their 1st year?

or did they gradually become great, like for their rookie and sophmore years they had growing pains. I know of only recent stuff like Wentz, Luck, who were really really good during their first 2 years, but r they the exception.

they call it handegg because they for some reason perceive the shape of an american football as an egg, "prolated spheroid" are words too complicated for their vocabulary....anyways "handegg" and fuuutboool both do have flopping in common, .........., i am more interested in qbs that have accurate cannons right from the rookie years, now Flacco has a cannon, but he cannot put it to use, he is horrible nowadays

You must have some deformed eggs where you are. Ours aren't pointed.

QBs need receivers to be successful so the team has to be decent up front.

Marino did more with less.

Dan Marino was great from the get-go. Took Bret Favre many years, I believe John Elway as well.

I live in the UK and play for my local kitted team the Sabres even in my 40's. Before thinking it's easy find your local team and give it a go as most teams start early training now for the new season or are you all mouth and no trousers?

Depends entirely on the player, the system/culture established around them, and the team around them.

Look at Joe Montana and Jerry Rice, and ask how much did they elevate each other. Sure they were great on their own but they were absolutely better because Montana was throwing to Rice and Rice was catching for Montana.

Then you have people like Wentz and Luck who are unbelievable talents but the teams around them are very different. Players like Russell Wilson who is good in his own right but is supported by a defense that rarely allowed more than two TDs per game.

I'm not from the UK...

The rest of the world calls it handegg, because you use your hands 99% of the time, and egg, because it looks like an egg.

If the US was so good, they wouldn't cry when they got hit playing rugby, you know the sport where they don't wear shoulder pads and helmets...hahahahaha, learn to play without protective gear...wahhhhhhhh, I got hit by this big guy mommy and I scraped my leg...
