question about the "ALIENS" movie franchise

ive seen alien and aliens and both were awesome.

my question is : is alien 3 the same as alien resurection because alien resurection was kind of bad but evry one says alien 3 was good.... so i wanted to know whats the name of the 3rd alien movie.

also which is the best in the entire franchise?.thinking of having an aliens marathon with budies.

This may be slightly straying from the question but its still related to the topic of Aliens... I have seen them all but dont own the quadrilogy. I was doing some research last night and as a DVD collector i found what would be the pinacle of my dvd collecting career so far... this.....

no, there different films, resurrection (awful film) is set in a research facility. alien 3 in set in a prison

Is that the same girl who was in the first and second? If so then yes. She's in a prison full of males and she has an alien baby inside her the whole time.

Avp 2 is close to the worst film iv seen in a while, spider man 3 dose kick its @ss though....(in badness i mean)

Thats sigourney you are thinking about, shes the lead actress and stars in all 4 original alien movies. Winona is only in alien 4.

Alien 3 is very underrated i think.

The first movie is by far the best in the series. None of the sequels come even close.inoperativeRS

alien 3 was ok. not as good as the 1st 2. but still MUCH better than resurrection and the avp series.

I actually own the box set. With all of the bonus features it offers, it makes even the last two fims in the series worth watching. Too bad the alien head ststue pictured isn't available in the U.S.

I wasn't too fond of Alien 3, now if they didn't screw around with it and made the original Alien 3 they planned to make then it would have been pretty damn awesome. Sadly they screwed it up and made it Aliens in Prison and nobody cared, mainly because it seemed like its sole purpose was to depress rather than scare or thrill like the previous 2, that original Alien 3 would of been brilliant though...Apollo5000

The first film is the best.

I do like Alien 3. But not in its butchered form, there is a directors cut available that really should be seen.

Yup, yup...

I think theres a trailer out there for it some where with the Marines holding them off and all that but damn just he thought of how epic that could of been, i mean it was really the natural evolution of it.

Alien - on a ship, 1 foe vs space truckers

Aliens - on a planet, lots of foes vs Colonial Marines

Alien 3 - on Earth, planet size forces vs 6 billion population.

Ownage. Obviously it was cut due to how hard it would be to make and budget but damn it would of been good...
