Just from being around alot of friends who smoke, dont do it. Its not even worth it bro. You need to stop while you still can.

That almost certainly sounds like symptoms of withdrawl, which tells me that yes, you most likely are addicted.

Yeah sounds like you're becomming addicted. It's better for your health if you stop not to mention probably easier, but it's your choice.

If you can quit for a week, you can get the nicotine out of your system and be done with it.

Tell you what, next time a withdrawal syptom kicks in, try not to smoke but chew gum instead. Of try any of those methods to keep you occupied enough to forget smoking.

But then you still have routine to deal with. Habits are habits because they are habits. If you're in the habit of smoking, kicking the nicotine dependancy isn't enough. You then still have habit to deal with. It;s the same reason why some parents have such a hard time getting their kids to stop eating boogers. It's not that boogers are chemically addictive. It's just that if you eat boogers for long enough, it becomes a habit, and habits are hard to break.

Yeah, I'm guessing the longer you wait to quit the worse the withdrawl will be, so just stop now.

Well obviously you're addicted if your body needs cigarettes to feel better.

I know that. But the other dude is acting like all you have to do is go a week without smoking and then that's that. I'm saying that it doesn't work like that.

QUIT. NOW. I've smoked for 18 or so years and it's the single worst decision I've ever made by far. I've tried to quit, and will try again. But there's a point where it becomes very hard to quit, so stop before you get there.

I used to smoke for a while ... never got addicted... I guess I was just experimenting... keep it to the minimal... and avoid addiction... quit if you think you need too...
