How long did it take you to get your level up there? I have been on for like a total of 6 hrs these past 3 nights and i only went from a middle 8 to almost a 10.
it's wierd, i don't put that much effort into it. i just use GS as a place to browse to procrastinate while i do homework. i'm supposed to be writing an essay right now, but i'm taking a quick GS break :D
I've been a member since 2003 and I'm not as high in level as some people on here that became members after that. Just write reviews about games, post alot in the forums, stream videos, basically 'use' the gamespot site to increase your level.
If you're instantly active upon registering and you max out percentage caps consistently, you could get to 30/40's within 2 years. It's taken me almost 4 years to get here, but then again I wasn't always active consistently, and I don't often max out the caps, even now.
It took me about 3 years. I've been logging in almost every day since the start. I didn't start posting seriously until about a year into it though. It bugs me 'cause I'd known about the site for years before finally starting up an account. I could be a much higher level right now *sigh*. Ah but no matter. I like to think I'm still in a good place. :)
