My dad keeps on complaining about not buying computers and laptops on online sites that aren't major. I was considering buying a laptop from Xotic or powernotebooks.com and he keeps complaining how it's all a scam, and how there's a picture of the laptop, but it might not be the real deal, like the picture deceives you and all that. It's not a major site so it doesn't have credibility, you know. I don't know if they just use credit card, I hope not since I highly doubt my dad or mom will let me use it and pay them back in case something goes wrong, so do they use like online banking, or anything. And what's the worst that can happen?

Isn't it safe to use a credit card, since it can be tracked and all that if you don't get the laptop?

resellerratings.com is pretty useful for shopping online. Newegg is the largest online electronics retailer so it's a pretty safe place to buy things from.

other than all my friends and family using it and not being scammed, I have used it too. Newegg is like the Bestbuy of aftermarket parts.
