Right now i have an 8g ipod touch, i'm about to trade it for my friends newest gen ipod classic 120 g. I get the better deal?

I love my classic 120.
If you use the apps alot, keep the touch. If you just want a music/movie player get the classic.
I'd say wait to see what Apple does at its upcoming event. Usually this is the time they refresh their iPod line up. Otherwise Classic for capacity, Touch for apps/videos.
Touch. Nobody in the world needs more than 8 gigs of music at any one time.
I dont care how much you think you do.....you dont.
That depends, if capacity isn't an issue the touch is fine...for anyone with a good music collection however, the cIassic is FAR better. Darth-Caedus
My 32GB iTouch will last me for a while :D especially since I only have 9-ish GB of music (some of it's stuff I got from parents)... damn you espensive albums

I forever hat you now I have over 32gigs of music that I listen to every bit of and it will NEVER be enough I will NEVER be satisfied I will consume every last drop of music that interest me
8 gigs of music for me is way too small. I'm completely satisfied with my 44 gigs of music (the number is growing) with me at all times.Touch. Nobody in the world needs more than 8 gigs of music at any one time.

I find myself listening to thinks I'd thought I'd lost, or thinks I wouldn't have listened to had I not had a 60GB iPod. A large amount of memory is important on an iPod for myself. I also like the freedom of variety, and the ability to take 1047 different Nine Inch Nails songs, remixes and bootlegs everywhere makes me happy. Therefore, I may not need more than 8GB, but I'd have a hard time with 8GB or less.
I have both a touch and classic and I now use the touch way more. Not only is the screen crystal clear for watching videos, but the internet access and apps makes my life more convenient. But it was kind of hard to transition because I had to pick and choose what I wanted to put on. In the end though, i figured I didn't need to take all 80g of my library around with me, so I just put what I want to use currently.
Edit: forgot to talk about the classic. I've had it since they were released (so 2 or 3 years i think) and I've had to replace it over 5 times during that period. I used it mainly around campus and what not so I wasn't hard on it, but since they are harddrive based they are more prone to having problems than the flash based touch. Lol I've got to take it in again because it's glitching up on me, although this time around it's probably do to gym use.
I've got 6th generation classic 80GB, works excellently, and I can store a bunch of movies on it as opposed to my sister's 16Gb Touch (hers can hold far less than mine.)
I'd say keep your iPod touch.
Every once in a while, just go through and delete music that you don't really listen to. You could also try buying a higher memory iPod touch.
if you want space: go for the classic
if you want features and more entertainment type things: keep the touch
i do personally like the touch more but i have more music/movies than the biggest capactiy model can handle so i actually have the new 120gb classic. it is still really good but yeah, it depends what you need more from it.
