I see nothin' wrong with it. I typically use hun, in real life though.
*Why would a women be offended by calling her attractive?
I only call women "chicks" if I'm just with my buddies. But not to a girls face. Unless I'm joking around.
Depends on the context and the woman. I call my wife "baby" and "babe" all the time, but other women might object to those names.
Just don't call a woman "heffer". An old guy I knew called his wife that.
I don't think the word is offensive at all, though I'm not female. I can't see how they'd consider it offensive. I mean, it doesn't seem to have negative connotations.ghoklebutterI think the problem is first that there are so many words that try to replace woman. Just think about how often you refer to a woman as a woman, keep count or something. This may not apply to you, but for a lot of people it's almost never. The other problem is it can carry the connotation of sex appeal so that you're not identifying a woman as a woman, but rather as someone that is sexually attractive. Not that it's bad for a woman to be called sexually attractive, but to have it tied to part of your identity like that can create problems.
I'm not a woman my self but to me it doesn't seem very offense.
Now I wouldn't go around calling random women chicks unless.
I really knew them or knew that they weren't up tight and had a good since of humor.
Then you'll be glad to hear I don't use this term.i'm a chick and i find this slightly offensive.
