"If you like Dragonforce you'd love..."

Okay, so I've been in a very metal mood lately and need some recommendations.

I've actually been rocking Galneryus more than Dragonforce, but I figured their name would be less recognizable. Also, don't suggest Sonata Arctica, I don't really care for them.

I'm actually glad you brought this up since most of the recs have been more death metal than power metal...But honestly, I grew up listening to hardcore more than anything else, so I'll take all metal...But I'm looking for power/epic metal bands.

Also, I had totally forgotten about Hammerfall, so thanks!

I'm more of a black metal and trash oriented (death etc) fan myself, so I'm not that.. wise in this subject.

You could try Rhapsody (although they were already metnioned?). I have also heard Boanerges are good, although I haven't had the chance to listen to them myself.

Cellador - Enter Deception

Ah, Stratovarius.  SA sounds a little like them, but contrary to what others think, SA did not copy the style of Strat.

ya. it's like comparing Nightwish to Epica, or After Forever, they sound simmilar, but they are also very unique

The "No, just no" is.. well, it isn't really a "If you like Dragonforce you will like System of a Down". It's just.. backwards. Power and epic metal is one genre... what the blegh ever SOAD are playing is an entirely different.

LMAO which singer? The whiny sounding one? Thats Daron Malakian and yes he doesnt have a very good singing voice but he only did most of the songs for Hypnotize and Mezmerize which are their worst albums. SOAD vary in what they play theyre not really one genre.
