When I found out, I felt a little upset at society. Especially when Stairway to Heaven has only a couple million views. As with a bunch of songs by The Beatles.
Thoughts?

I think the majority of people have bad taste.....but I pay attention to what I like not what they like.;)
Typical. Marketing is everything with those bands, not the music itself. They just have to rely on people not hearing anything better or more fitting for their tastes (which admittedly is pretty difficult for anyone who listens to music that isn't in the top 40).
Mindless hypocrites...one idiot likes the Jonas Brothers and they all have to follow. They don't pay attention to the music, they just like showing people that they're fans of the band.Razor-LazorWhere does the hypocrites part come in? >.>
Hmmm....
I wonder how many unique users make up that number, as opposed to just children continually rewatching the same video over and over.
bwaaa you are not going to escape me now!!!! *hugs u* :DWhen I found out, I felt a little upset at society. Especially when Stairway to Heaven has only a couple million views. As with a bunch of songs by The Beatles.

Yeah I was wondering this too. I hate the Jonas Brothers really. The songs they make are horrendous to me. Plenty of better bands.

They're not counted as views from unique IP addresses? Like how page hits on a website are counted?[QUOTE="Razor-Lazor"]Mindless hypocrites...one idiot likes the Jonas Brothers and they all have to follow. I use that whenever I talk about preteen kids.
Probably because music like that represents the death of culture. Mass-marketed money making machines that really have no substantive cultural value whatsoever. Kind of like McDonalds and Michael Bay movies, only in teen band form. It's just preteen kids rewatching a video.....question is why do you all care?

Who said anything about rights? Of course they do. And I have the right to lambast their tastes (or lack thereof). But it's their right to listen to what they like.

What I've figured out is selling things, anything like products, music, your political position. It depends on a lot about how much it appeals to stupid people. munu9They're kids. Preteens.
I hate the jonas brothers but i didnt know what SOS the song was so i just loked it up then hated it.
They're kids. Preteens. You'd be surprised how differently a preteen's mind changes in a few years. My biggest fear however....is that the preteens will still be stupid enough to listen to JB even after they grow up....well, maybe I'm being pessimistic, but I really don't want JB to be on top at all.[QUOTE="munu9"]What I've figured out is selling things, anything like products, music, your political position. Yeah, because taste in bands is the only viable parameter when it comes to measuring intelligence.[QUOTE="munu9"]What I've figured out is selling things, anything like products, music, your political position. You post made me think about Welcome to the Machine by Pink Floyd, which is pretty much what the Jonas Borthers are, a money making machine, the record companies are bathing the cash they are pulling in from the band. They really don't care about the music, only the money.
Well Im pretty sure the general audience of the Jonas Brothers is far more connected (to the internet) than Zeps. I mean...I've never watched any Zeppelin videos on Youtube. I have the albums, why would I? Well I take that back I watched some videos of their Earls Court concerts. They don't have many actual videos either. The Jonas Brothers have a bunch, it's a huge part of their marketing.
Anyways...why were you looking up the hits on a JB video if you don't like them?
