Basically, The Muppets, Cars 2 and There Will Be Blood are propoganda films.

Fox News is brainwashing uneducated Americans! (along with MSNBC and the other extreame news sources)
Hell I heard they even fired Glenn Beck because he was too crazy, man if you get fired because Fox thinks your crazy then you must be REALLY crazy!
I don't know where to start, but I agree there is nothing evil about being profitable but there is something evil about how some people get there, and that si why Tex Richman was evil in the Muppets he was going to tear down the muppets studios to make money which, In the opinion of Kermit and the muppets is evil.I didnt even realize the "brainwashing" when I saw the film.
There are underlying messages in just about everything and that isn't harmful. The only people doing harm here is Fox News.
But... I love There Will Be Blood  Oh well, as some people have mentioned, seems they are a little late on the bandwagon for trying to get after There Will Be Blood.
I'm surprised he said Kermit should be green, I expected him to say Kermit should be covered in oil and happy about it.
Oh, and someone just said liberals should stay away from kids, didn't the Tea Party release a politicized children's book with a far more overt political message? If you want to know conservative motivations all you need to do is look at what they accuse liberals of doing. "Liberals want to get at these children at the earliest possible age!" Welp, that settles it, now we know that conservatives are trying to get at these children at the earliest possible age.
Jesus **** really? This isn't even one of those off-handed remarks either, they did a real 7 full minutes of crap.
Why does it always have to be an evil oil executive?! Why can't it be an evil environmentalist every once and awhile?!
I grew up watching Captain Planet, one of the most propagandized cartoons ever created, and I still like oil companies and corporations. I think our children will be okay.

Let's see, destroying the environment, saving the environment, which one should we portray as evil? Hmmmm...
Also, you must not be familiar with Bond/comic book villians. Half of them are crazed environmentalists intent on wiping out humanity.

Only you would respond seriously to my post. Never fails.
"They're telling our kids that humans are a virus on poor mother earth"
I don't see a problem with this.

I was just thinking about that. The villain in Quantam of Solace was an evil environmentalist. I guess that's why it was liked less than the first one.

I believe the plot of an environmentalist intent on destroying humanity was used at least twice previous to that, Moonraker and the Spy Who Loved me iirc. And in those they actually wanted to destroy the world because of their environmentalism, they weren't just environmentalists who happened to be maniacs (which I believe the guy in QoS was, right?)

I think you're right. The guy in QoS was part of that organization only interested in power.

'fraid so whats misanthropywhen i see fox news making an outrageous headline like this, i start thinking to myself that fox news is becoming like a less funny version of the onion
Fox News, the news place for 15 minutes of fame. It's devloving into a variety show/reality show.
jimkabrhel
Just wait until Herman Cain gets there. What do you think is going to happen when you put him in the same studio as all of those pretty failed meteorologists? New Fox reality show, who wants to sue a Koch-made millionare? It can be Deal or no Deal format, the biggest briefcase is the max settlement and the lowest is a Godfather pizza.
They should be so happy to live in a society where one of the worst threats to your children is a f***ing puppet.Engrish_Major
They should be happy to live in a society where they actually get paid for going on rants like this, could you imagine what would happen if they were actually forced to contribute something to society?
this. so the corporate media is preaching an anti-capitalism / corporation message to a bunch of future customers whom they'll relay in on the future to buy their good and contribute to their corporations??!?Why does it always have to be an evil oil executive?! Why can't it be an evil environmentalist every once and awhile?!
