I dunno. I know some 25 yr olds who love Twhylight. The fans are all 12 year old girls. What do you expect?

Well considering that most Twilight fangirls are high school girls, making a R18+ movie is counter-productive.
So what happens in the final book? Can someone fill me in with all the supposedly gory and raunchy details?
I'd be more inclined to watch it if it did. :PxTheExploited
yeah I like blood and sex!
but its not like teens don't walk into R rated movies all the times, so it wouldn't really hurt the ticket sales
I don't believe it's being marketed towards kids under 14.Wait, there's sex scenes in Twilight? Why is it being marketed towards kids under 14 then.
Bluestorm-Kalas

Movie studio prefers PG-13 with implied sex for more profits!Travo_basic
I wish I could imply sex for more profits. :(

Why not the real thing...Oh yeah, that's illegal. :P[QUOTE="Travo_basic"]Movie studio prefers PG-13 with implied sex for more profits!EMOEVOLUTIONI'm not sure that's true. If it's rated R, then there's less likely a chance that the core audience(teenagers) can get in to see the movie.

No, it's true.

If you look at box office numbers, don't "kid movies" make much more money?
[QUOTE="Travo_basic"]Movie studio prefers PG-13 with implied sex for more profits!EMOEVOLUTIONI'm not sure that's true. A pg-13 movie can have twice the audience of a rated R movie
I'd support this 100%; that would make the movie's target audience unable to see it, make it a box-office bomb, and then we'd never have to see another Twilight movie. :P

I was about to say I know Gabu wants this, but you beat me to it. Damn.
So it wont just be blood he will be sucking?Big_Bad_Sad
she will be sucking something else.....
a lolipop.
They're desperately horny women. Sorry, girls, typically. This doesn't surprise me, as I'm sure one of the "cons" from the 4th book was that Meyer was nice enough to not write out the sex scene. Which was a general plus on my read. Didn't need to hear another excuse to express how perfect Edward was.
This seems like a problem Harry Potter has now as well. By the last book things get pretty mature and if translated onto the big screen, would net an R rating. Of course the producers don't want that so they will make it nothing like the book so it can get a PG-13 rating.
What a shame.
The last book was the best, because it was absolutely goddamn hilarious how all that stuff was in a book intended for teenage girls. Without it, the movie won't live up to the so-bad-it's-good awfulness of thebook.
