"Would you kill your parents for extremly selfish reasons"

I was asked this question today and had a few situations presented. I realised I am a real life villian...you knoww the kind that takes every opportunity to get ahead.

I would never kill my mom.

I was then asked if having my parents alive started hindering my life. ex: them forcing you to take care of them, them having complete finachial control over me(even where I work), and/or I really need the money that they wont let me touch until they are dead.

If I ever go psychotic and decided to go on a killing spree, my parents are probably the only people I'd spare on my rampage. Well, unless its for self defense and/or they're zombies....

If my Mom was about to die due to some grave injury that renders her mortality to come to end and is in much pain, I would hug her tight and put one through her main unit so she wouldn't have to suffer.

Well my mom's already dead, and I would never kill my dad.

Maybe if it was the zombie apocalypse and they became infected. Even then I'd be hesitant.

I think in a sense it would be selffish(for me at least) because although I would want her suffering to end quickly, I don't know if I'd do it because of the pain she feels or because of the pain I would feel as it would hurt me to see her like that. Maybe both.

If the reason is anything less than saving the human race, I wouldn't kill my parents, and even if it was saving the human race it would be hard to do.
