I've always heard of tensions between asians and blacks in certain areas, but this is the first time I'm witnessing a clear example. Apparently, most of the business owners are asian, and most of the looters are black. Thoughts?

I don't know much about the area, but I think the media is just spotlightingfor the ratings bump. And to be specific, I believe I heard it was a young muslim man (21-years-old)mowed down by a suspect that the police have stated is black. The only gripe I have about the who incident so far is why the police have specifically revealed the race of the suspect and nothing else. It would have been one thing to reveal his entireidentity, but I think its weird just to revealhis raceif there were known tensions between the two groups.

A long time ago, there was some tension between blacks and koreans in the US, but that had to with a few unfortunate incidents. I believe those tensions have long since faded away.

pretty much. they tend to overhype or overanalyze certain aspects of things for ratings.

I've never seen that tension... there's slight tensions between Indians/Pakistanis and everyone else but i've never seen anything specifically between blacks and them.

Yeah, It's like what Lenin said... you look for the person who will benefit, and, uh, uh... You know what I'm trying to say...

the BNP and their fellow racists have been trying to make these riots out to be some kind of race/immigrant based thing. which is totally nonsense. I wonder if they looked at actual pictures from the riots

A furniture store's been burned down near where I live. I passed that store every time I went home from school. Not surprised there was a lot of trouble down in Blackney (as I call it).
