creep ^^
I find they are extremely boring and many of their songs get whiny. Most listeners (note I said most!) just listen to them because they are "Socialist" or believe in "social justice" and want to not conform to the mainstream by conforming to the other "Socialist" wannabes and becoming conformists of nonconformity. And Creep sounds pretty emo.Greedo_What
hm, that was complicated, i dont know anything about the band just that i love those 2 songs

Usually the Radiohead listeners (again just the ones I know) would say that it was stupid of me to say that, then proceed to dwell in their silence, imagining themselves with a Thom Yorke Haircut and how cool that would be.I find they are extremely boring and many of their songs get whiny. And Creep sounds pretty emo.Greedo_WhatFunny how you say Radiohead is a socialist band, seeing as how Radiohead has never adopted a socialist image at all. Their political views are shared with millions of bands, so it's not the political view people go for. As for the rest of what you said, it's purely opinion. I respect your opinion, and while I like Radiohead, I'll have to say you're crazy. :P

I'm trying to start a debate here, since gamerguy31315 started an opinion thread by proclaiming in the thread title that "Radiohead is Amazing". I am giving a viable counter-point to that. Try to disprove me with something more intellegant than blatant bluntheaded bumbling bollocks.[QUOTE="gamerguy31315"][QUOTE="Greedo_What"]I find they are extremely boring and many of their songs get whiny. This can be said about any group who likes a band/singer/ANYTHING.

Try to disprove me with something more intellegant than blatant bluntheaded bumbling bollocks. You can't take the guy seriously, he's basing this off of two songs he's heard. If anything, it's like arguing with a metalhead who says he only listens to Bon Jovi.I used to llsten to them all the time, but it was just a phase. I listen to them now and then, but I have discovered music that I'd rather listen more. I'm still waiting for their new album. Not as excited as before though.ernie1989I agree. I still like them quite a bit, a lot, actually, but my musical tastes have been expanding, so I have a lot more to listen to now.
Funny how you say Radiohead is a socialist band, seeing as how Radiohead has never adopted a socialist image at all. Their political views are shared with millions of bands, so it's not the political view people go for. As for the rest of what you said, it's purely opinion. I respect your opinion, and while I like Radiohead, I'll have to say you're crazy. :P Well, I get the idea they are socialist since my friend is Communist and he probably knows all of Johnny Greenwood's riffs by heart and always tells me how awesome Radiohead is. I have to admit, their website is pretty cool, albit wierd (in a good way). What I was trying to say is that the people who think they are Socialist by wearing a shirt with the Hammer and Sickle or those that wear a Che shirt usually listen to bands like Radiohead. Not that all people wearing those shirts or listening to that band are like that; some know what they're talking about. About the last part, yes I do believe I may be crazy.[QUOTE="Greedo_What"]I find they are extremely boring and many of their songs get whiny. O_o Listen to Kid A... kid. Those two songs are nowhere near their best.Attunnel
Maybe so, but Karma Police was still really good. It was really sad when the robot died.
I didn't really like Kid A that much, though, except for "How to Disappear Completely". I just have a huge rock bias, so most of the album was just noise to me.
I did thoroughly enjoy "Hail to the Thief" though.

And communism can be seen asan extremist form or subdivisionof Socialism, like Fascism is of Conservatism.[QUOTE="Greedo_What"]I find they are extremely boring and many of their songs get whiny. What robot?I'm confused, maybe you're talking about something else.

In the music video, or in the actual song?[QUOTE="MrGeezer"][QUOTE="Greatgone12"][QUOTE="MrGeezer"][QUOTE="Attunnel"]O_o Listen to Kid A... kid. Those two songs are nowhere near their best.Greatgone12

Ohhhh... That. I thought that was just a sound effect created by the pedal, because I get a similar sound with a Max/MSP patch, distortion and a lot of reverb.[QUOTE="MrGeezer"][QUOTE="Greatgone12"][QUOTE="MrGeezer"][QUOTE="Greatgone12"][QUOTE="MrGeezer"][QUOTE="Attunnel"]O_o Listen to Kid A... kid. I mean, after all, the album is called "OK Computer", the very next song is "sung" by a robot, and a large part of the album deals with such issues as conformity and lack of identity.
I could be wrong though, but I'm pretty sure that it's supposed to be a robot dying. But even if I am wrong, it still made me feel sad.

That's so much cooler than what I thought.I just thought it was the guitar being shut off in some creative fashion.
The pride of Arizona's show for their marching band session was themed off of Radiohead.
Their musicality is dead on, but they could use a little practice with the marching......
