Random Moderation

Hey, anyone like to share any times they've been moderated, maybe you have know idea why, or think its unfair, or just did something foolish that was technically against the rules.

I was once moderated for comminting an illegal activity. I was having trouble with a pre-owned game, because it used steam, and sarcastically (I think anyway I might have been serious, was a while ago) asked if anyone would mind me using their account (something im not asking for here).

Also rick-rolling is banned, I can't remember rolling rick but acording to my moderation history I once did.

Once I got banned for posting a coupon. Thankfully they let me back in though (I'm still happy about that :)). I've never posted any deals or coupons since and never will...

I usually don't know what I've been modded for because I go into a lot of different threads. It would be nice if the mods would tell you, "you said X in thread Y, and that violates rule Z."

You can view your moderation history from the main forum page on the right side under "my profile summary" and click details which shows what you posted.

Nothing has happened to me yet, but I've tried to post in threads with completely benign and appropriate topics a few times that were randomly locked.

I once pulled a knife on GabuEx and threatened him. GS had the audacity to moderate me. I mean seriously, I was only joking, and it was a plasticbutter knife.

Was it for bumping an old thread? Or was it a moderation for something you posted a year prior?

If it was the latter and it wasn't something really offensive like porn, then I hope you disupted that moderation.

I was once moderated because I said I preferred Beethoven to Mozart. Not sure what moderator it was that hit me with the violation . . . . .sonicare

I don't remember that one. But from the sound of it, I'm sure it was completely justified. :P

All of moderations were from me not reading the ToU. I read it and haven't been moderated since. Nov 30 marks me being mod free for 3 years. :)2ndWonder

I took it a step further and read what the moderators posted...best training to avoid moderations is to listen to the mods.

Yes... on mod break.

I only have 2 moderations and both were for good reasons....its been over a year now I think since my last one, though.

I don't know, it was prolly something like :lol: was the only thing I posted.

I got modded for using the more offensive word for someone who is mentally uncapable...the "r" word, twice. I guess that is the worst I've been modded for.
