The game was pretty pants but Zenit played some good stuff at times, and both goals were pretty good. Rangers could have played with a bit more ambition, it is the UEFA Cup final afterall.

LOL at English football. Arguably the best league in the world, but only because of the ridiculous sums of money poured into it to buy foreign players. A Scottish team beat Man Utd last year if you remember (celtic).
And an international team that are crap, had the easiest group for the euro 2008 qualifiers and still lost.

And as a Celtic fan, I say unlucky Rangers, but you had a good, albeit slighty undeserved run (got through playing bland, boring, uninspired defensive football, and got very lucky on a few occasions like against Werder Bremen). I remember how I felt after we got cheated by Porto's diving antics in Seville 5 years ago. Keep your heads high, your team has done Scottish football proud.

Of course they had a chance. Do you think they just made it to the final, beating quality teams like Werder Bremen and Fiorentina, only to give up and admit defeat? No, they played the game, fought hard, but were outplayed by a better team.

And just so you know, look back to 1967. The first british club to win the European cup - Celtic, a Scottish team, made up entirely of Scottish players.

And take your standard thing to international level. The current England squad is poor - end of. However, the Scottish team is playing very well, and has defeated some of the best teams in the world. Now England's population is about 10x bigger than Scotlands. Surely they should be a much much much better International team. Thing is, they're not. Because of the premiership, clubs just buy in big players from other countries with the vast amount of money they have, allowing very little youth talent from England through to play for the big clubs. However in Scotland, clubs dont' have that kind of money, so they scout for young Scottish talent, and bring them up through the rank, for them to eventually play internationally, and it's a much better system.

So STFU yeah? English football is in a worse state than Scottish right now.

Im not an England fan..but I'd have to disagree there.

IMO player for player..England has the best side in the world. Its just that the FA is full of a bunch of sorry old men who know nothing about appointing a half decent manager.
Every majoy tournament I fear England the most (except Euro 2008 :) )...and lets face it..they're always very unlucky.

As far as Scottish football goes...dont get me started. The Scottish league is an absoloute joke of epic proportions. Rangers got to the final by playing all out defence every game and nicking the odd goal...mainly through luck. Tonight their luck ran out. gg.

Also for someone to say Scottish football is in a better state than the English game shows bitter and twisted Scottish fans are to the English... Most leagues around the world 3 or 4 tops teams who are always fighting for the title so England is not different.

But I for one feel the players are paid to much, teams charge fans to much but there is not much that can be done... But to say say Scottish football is better than english is more of a joke than BARRY FERGUSON'S Blackburn career...

Remember it was only a while ago you lot wanted to play in our league, So go and take Andy Murray back with you and go compete witht the mighty motherwell and dundee teams I'm sure Derby County could have beaten this season.
