* I didn't include the 5th movie in the poll cause there was no room and no one would have voted for it anyways 1. Rocky (8 out of10) 2. Rocky IV (8 out of 10) 3. Rocky Balboa (8 out of 10) 4. Rocky II (7 out of 10) 5. Rocky III (5 out of 10) 6. Rocky V (4 out of 10) 1. Rocky --- A true classic. I'm not one of those people who always says the original one is the best, but there is no topping the incredible first Rocky movie. 2. Rocky IV --- Another awesome movie featuring arguably the best training routine in the snow and in the cabin in Russia. 3. Rocky Balboa --- A great conclusion to the series, leaving you feeling good about the character Rocky's current life. 4. Rocky II --- The rematch vs. Creed in this movie is easily the best fight in the entire series. 5. Rocky III --- Such a terrible movie. The pointless wrestling match with Hulk Hogan, Mr. T as an awful villain, Rocky's dumb character change getting cocky and focusing on boxing. And the dumbest moment in the history of the series where Mickey is having a heart attack and no one calls the police, they just let him sit on a trainers table for an hour while Rocky talks to him and while a fight is going on. 6. Rocky V --- Boy was this movie awful. Rocky's son is like 8 years old at the end of Rocky IV and when he flies back from Russia at the beginning of Rocky V his son is suddenly about 10 years older. We don't care about Rocky's dumb apprentice, we don't care about his son getting in fights in school and we don't want some dumb brain damaged storyline even though he is fully fine to fight in the 6th movie.
I have a hard time picking between II and Balboa for my favorite. Leaning towards Balboa though. IV is close 3rd, and the original is surprisingly my 4th. Rocky III is my 5th, though it's still a good movie. Rocky V does not exist in my mind.
It's interesting, most sequels are terrible, but this franchise manages to do them very, very well. That's the best part about the Rocky movies.
that's cuz it seems like it was just made to make money off of. Rocky Balboa actually had a good storyline, and it seemed like people wanted to see a new one again.
