Hmm Wu Tang Clan is always good, as are Public Enemy and N.W.A. I would highly suggest Black Star, it's Mos Def and Talib Kweli and it will change your life. Of course I also like Run DMC, Jay-Z, and Kanye West.

Depends on how young you are ... for all I know songs I never thought would be oldschool is oldschool to you... but my recs are:

Everything here is good but try some Lupe Fiasco as well. He's not old school but he is very good.

Most definitely. Daily Operation would probably be my #6 album and Step In the Arena is very close behind it. Plus Hard To Earn and Moment of Truth are also excellent Hip-Hop albums.

Gang Starr definitely have one of the best discographies in Hip-Hop.
