Haha... sweet. You dont recognise the Slayer one? Its probably thier best known. And Neutral Milk Hotel is as amazing as they are underapreciated. Mastodon is cool speedmetal, based around the book Moby Dick. I had to get it!The only one I recognize is "Blue Lines" by Massive Attack....which is one of the coolest CDs I ever heard.
Nice choice on that one 100/10 8)

Not a big Slayer fan. Never heard of Mastodon (I'm so out it lol). :)
I have heard of Neutral Milk Hotel...just haven't heard their music. Are they like Olivia Tremor Control? OTC had some good stuff a decade ago that I digged.
I only recognize Slayer... but if you can choose that album... I'm sure your choices for the other 3 albums are good too :)blackleech
I have to agree with this. I want to look into Mastadon as well, they sound cool. What's their best song?
Hmm, not too sure. They call themselves Fuzz rock... theyve got some instrument called a fuzz bass that is so low it sounds like static, but doesnt blot everything else out. The songs are very cryptic and its fun to try and figure out what theyre about, usually sex and religion, but also other wierder topicsWitchsight
Sounds just like The Olivia Tremor Control. Very fuzzy stuff with cryptic lyrics. :)

Well the CD i got has an awesome sea creture theme... All the songs are either about one or from thier perspectives, and they really sound like a massive beast. The sweetest one is called Megalodon[QUOTE="Omega-Priest"][QUOTE="blackleech"]I only recognize Slayer... but if you can choose that album... Whoa wait a minute. I guess they were awesome pals with Jeff Magnum, who is the lead singer for NMH, and they put stuff out around the same time. Neutral Milk Hotel is probably the best band of the 90s.
Mastodon is really fun live.
Massive attack is cool stuff.
Slayer is pretty ok. (for nazis)

7.5 / 10 (i.e. full marks for the first 3 picks, 0 for the last one)Sheik_Yerbouti_Because you dont know it, or dont like it? And also Blood Mountain is about 10$ right now... I really liked the story behind Leviathan, and the music is great too. Is it more of the same?

I haven't listened to anything of Leviathan.
