5/5 for me. I really like them and are my favorite band.

4/5. They are awesome, but there is better thrash out there. Sodom, Kreator, Annihilator, Death Angel.

Nah. Megadeth is better than those. Dark Angel maybe is better than Megadeth though.
3/5 from me.
I only like a handful of songs like "Hanger 18" but other than that I don't listen to them that much.

Morbid Angel owns them all. 8) Rust in Peace still stands as one of my favorite albums ever. I'll go with 3/5... They're certainly better than Metallica.[QUOTE="Bluestorm-Kalas"]

Morbid Angel owns them all. 8) MA isn't even thrash...but I agree, MA is a better band in general.3/5. Pretty "meh" overall. They have a some good stuff, but they're very hit-and-miss. Usually no more than one or two good songs per album, although Rust In Peace is pretty solid overall. And they're not-good stuff isn't even mediocre, it's bad. Also I find most of Mustaine's lyrics to be cringe-inducing. All in my humble opinion of course.
I love 'em... or at least their older stuff, counting Rust in Peace, Peace Sells.. up to Cryptic Writings. After that Dave Mustaine went a bit too "christian" and it showed in his music. Risk was a terrible mistake, even Dave himself said so. As for The System Has Failed, I must admit "The Scorpion" became one of the best songs I've heard from them in a long time. Yeah, I miss the old Megadeth, the new Megadeth is... passable. Nothing outstanding as they once were.meconateWell the lead singer for AS I lay Dying is christan and Megadeth made a sweet come back with their new album Endgame. Its really goes back to their thrash roots.
On your five star scale they are a high 4 for myself. I did lose interest when I got Risk. I may have not been given the album a chance to grow on me, but I guess everything up to Cryptic Writings was pretty much love at first listen and I held Risk to that same standard. I haven't gotten another album since, but I think it might be time to give Risk another shot and go from there.Second_Rookyou should give their new albmu a shot Endgame is back to their metal roots

What o you mean I don't believe in god? I talk to him everyday.
What do you mean I don't support your system? I go to court when I have to.
What do you mean I can't get to work on time? Got nothing better to do.
What do you mean I don't pay my bill? Why do you think I'm broky, huh?
If there's a new way, then I'll be first in line. But it better work this time.
What do you mean I hurt your feelings? Didn't know you had any feeling.
What do you mean I ain't kind? Just not your kind.
What do you mean I couldn't be the president? Of the United States of America.
Tell you something, it's still we. The people, right?
If there's a new way, then I'll be first in line. But it better work this time.
Metallica's Black Album is a masterpiece. But I'm not too big on their other stuff. (Excluding Master ofPuppets and a few songs on Ride the Lightning)1/5
I'm more of a Metallica fan and didn't enjoy any of the Megadeath stuff.sambo2011

I must agree with the black album comment but i love all their other work also, even with their dump in form with load and reload.

That was awesome, thanks. It's easy to forget that in addition to his guitar and song writing prowess Dave is also a great singer. Please Log In to post.
