I give it a 10/10... One of the best shows i've ever seen.

Yeh, considering how rich HBO is.10 out of 10. I think it was the first TV series that could easily compete with the best hollywood movies.

[QUOTE="kerrman"]Did you like "The Pacific"? The Pacific can't compare...not even close either. It was good, but far less than what I had hoped.10/10
Nothing on TV can compare with Band Of Brothers.

I loved it. I just got the Blu-Ray box this past christmas.
I'm going to get the Pacific too, but it wasn't as good as BoB.
It was an amazing show, 9/10 for me, i truly loved it and the ending was very touching.
Amazing, amazing show.
10/10 the best mini series on tv. Ttrually amazing. The Pacific was good. I tend to do marathons with these to miniseries.
10/10
I love love love Band of Brothers.
The Pacific wasn't quite as good to me. I didn't see all of the episodes, maybe only six or seven of them, but I didn't notice nearly as much character development. The main character (Eugene?) just became desensitized and bitter as the show progressed. There were also a lot more "shocking" scenes (bordering on unnecessary) in The Pacific, such as when the main character slides down the hill and lands on the maggoty corpse.
Its basically a 10 part miniseries about the 101st airborne Easy company just prior and during the European campaign of World War 2.. It has Saving Private Ryan quality.. The producers were Speilberg and Tom Hanks overseeing it.. And each episode has a new director doing it.. There is very few actors you will recognize in it.. The show has profanity, graphic violence and some nudity..I would rate it, but I've never heard of it.
Is it good?

It wasn't until around episode 5 that I could discern who was who in The Pacific. And even then...I could rarely bring myself to care about them. That show sorely needed a boot-camp sequence like the one in BoB.10/10

Loved it. I should watch it again sometime. I was like 13 or 14 the last time I watched the whole thing. I've met a several of the soldiers portrayed in it and spent a couple hours talking to Wild Bill Guarnere at his house in South Philly. It's a shame I didn't get to meet Winters before he died  He didn't like events and the like.
10/10 I love that mini-series to death.

You really owe it to yourself to watch the extras for The Pacific series, because they explain whey they structured the episodes the way they did, including the "shocking" scenes and more focus on less characters. I understood the real differences between the two mini-series afterwards. BoB focuses on the broad scope of WWII and its effects on a particular company. The Pacific, as explained by the directors, was meant to focus on the individual turmoil and agony that each soldier had to endure.
It's absolutely amazing. I own the blu ray version of the collection and it is just fantastic. I would give it an extra 10 points if I could. :P
8/10 is just right. Very excellently produced show. There isn't many flaws with the show. The only thing keeping me from giving it anything more than an 8 was that I had problems with the story's pace, some characters I felt weren't given enough screen time to become sympathetic for them(I only gave a **** about Winters), and I never felt all that engaged in the story. Visually, it was one hell of a treat, and like mentioned before, superb production (from the writing to the costumes and sets).
