If they ask for your ID it'll be while buying the ticket.

They'll ask you for your ID when you buy a ticket. I never asked when I worked at a theater. Actually, I've never been asked to show my ID..

I wear a college hoody and grow facial hair and they never ask me. Or grow facial hair and wear a security shirt. It works.

It really depends. Sometimes they ask, sometimes not. I think it really depends on who the person selling the tickets is...

In the past couple of years... No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood, Milk, Gran Torino, and Tropic Thunder come immediately to mind... :|

And that's just ones I remember off the top of my head...

No one has asked me for an ID the past two movies I went to. I did not even know Public Enemies and The Ugly Truth was rated R until my friend couldn't get in. I guess I just look old enough now.

Oh...well then, it will probably just depend on the person in the theater. Some people ask, some don't...so ask yourself, "Do I feel lucky?"

If they ask for I.D, you'll have to show it as you buy the ticket. But sometimes, they won't card you.
