The last book I read was SHOE ADDICTS ANONYMOUS by Beth Harbison
I am contemplating opening my Y THE LAST MAN book 1 & 2 hardcover or just keeping it closed up since I have read it when it was still regular comic books (cant wait for the movie!)
And then I am waiting to get the script for BIOSHOCK which should come within the next few days -- see if its written well or not.
Caves of Steel. best mystery since Holmes.HewkiiWho's it by? I really love mystery books. Is it a whodunit like Agatha Christie-style? Or more of a CSI type thing?
I'm in the middle of four books right now, all of them good. I'm rereading Ender's Game (in anticipation of the new one coming out this month), The Illuminatus! Trilogy (this is one of the most fun books I've ever read!), Night Watch (you should check out the movie, it's great!), and Assassination Vacation. I have way too many books on my to-read list, and it doesn't help that I always go back and reread books over and over again. Next on my list is Watchmen, if I can ever get it back from my boyfriend.michellezI read that this summer. Easily one of the greatest things EVER created. I'm worried the movie's gonna suck though:(
I read Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen not too long ago, finished The Well Of Eternity a couple of weeks ago and I'm halfway through The Demon Soul (second book in a trilogy about The War Of The Ancients)
Yes, I'm a geek like that.
I love Tamora Pierce, but I guess her stories are mostly suited for young/teenage girls in the age of 10-15, and I'm 16, but I still enjoy them a lot. I'd recommend her books to any Fantasy loving person, they're ace!

I didnt know you were 16. You looked older in the pic thread if I remeber it correctly.

Night Watch I started reading that but didnt finish it cause i got kinda busy. I def. plan on picking it back up. I didnt get far though. :(
The last book that I read was Brisingr by Christopher Paolini and it was dissapointing. Eragon and Eldest were both excellent books, but this one was a considerable drop in quality from the last two. Very few things really happened, and way too much time was spent with Eragon's moral issues, and Eragon's conclusion to this issue was pointless. It also had some plot "twists" that were entirly expected. It wasnt a terrible book, just not nearly as good as the two previous installments to the series. And Paolini has shown that he can do much better than he did here.

Yeah, I've read it a few times, and it's without a doubt one of my favorite books. I make the mistake of lending it to my boyfriend, who is apparently a really slow reader. He better give it back soon! I'm actually not too worried about the movie. In my view, it's better than nothing and I'm not too anal about sticking to every little detail. One of the things I'm most looking forward to, actually, is the animated adaptation of the pirate comic that's going to be an extra on the dvd release. I'm thinking that's going to be really good.
I just finished Chuck Klosterman IV and before that I read Gilead by Marilynne Robinson.
Next I think I'll reread the Dharma Bums. One can never really get tired of Kerouac.
Just finished "Battle Royale" by Koushun Takami...blew my mind..I could nitpicks its faults, but overall I enjoyed it. I'm currently reading the Starcraft book "I, Mengsk" which I am liking so far. I symphathize with Arcturus somewhat, but I can tell how his ambition will corrupt him later..

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, for English class though :p
But I'm gonna read 1984 on my own when I find time.
Just finished The Dave Mustaine biography, which was quite entertaining. Right now reading The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub, also quite good.
Other than books for my college courses...no. I have a lot of books I want to read but unfortunately school cuts into my free reading. I'll catch up over Christmas break.
This should be stickied IMO.
Anyway I been reading the Original Boardwalk Empire book that the series is inspired on. Its not a fiction book but that of none ficition that tells the story of Atlantic City. Also been reading a fantastic book on Gettysburg as far as None Fiction goes, its called "They Met At Gettysburg"
As far as Fiction is going I am reading the original Bram Stokers Dracula, "A Storm of Swords" For the fourth time, because I am a huge Song of Ice and Fire Fan, and reading Stephen Kings the Stand which I have not read since I was fourteen. Of course like some one else in this thread family and college has cut into my reading and gaming time.
