reasons why your for/against abortion and reasons why your for/against the death

penalty. Im doing a paper for school about both and i was just wondering what reasons are you guys for them or against them.

By the way, Im against Abortion and I'm for the deeath penalty.

I am for both.

I don't think a women should be forced to have a child. As long as it is in an early stage I see no reason why she should not be allowed to abort it.

And I think the death penalty should be used more often. I also think it should be simplified. No chemicals, no wasting energy on the electric chair I think it should be either a bullet or a noose. And once they are dead the tax payer (me and you) won't have to pay for their food, bed, cable TV and other services they have in prison.

For abortion, making such things illegal would not stop it any less than Prohibition in the 20s and 30s stopped people from drinking. The only thing that would do is drive it underground where we couldn't monitor the safety standards and it would be untaxable. Abortion is typically done because women simply can't afford a kid and argue all the abstinence-only you want, it doesn't work.

Against the death penalty, seeking the death penalty makes it harder to get a guilty verdict, the death penalty is grossly inefficient and actually costs us more than just life without parole, in addition the death penalty is permanent, if new evidence shows they were innocent you can't do anything about it at that point. Lastly the death penalty has not shown itself to be an effective deterrent at all.

reason why im against abortion: Your killing an innocent infant becausec you maybe had a one nigght stand (im not denying the fact that the womanmay of gotten raped). Not a good way of getting rid your child, by what i mean is that you could just have the child, then give the baby up for adoption instead of letting it be killed.

reasons why im for the death penalty: Cheaper than letting an inmate who's in there for life. Someone who commits a series of murders like Charlie Manson should of recieve the death penalty. Someone could be sentenced to 35 years for murder but lets say he gets out for good behavior 2 years earlier about 3 months later another murder victim.

Will never understand how people can be for one but against the other, but anyways I'm for both being legal. I wish abortion wasn't around, but it is so it needs to be safe, and I don't think men should make this decision for women. Don't think the death penalty is much of a deterrent, I think it's used wrong, but still think there are some people who just don't deserve to be here.

There is a difference between killing a full grown human and an unborn fetus in that the fetus is not yet a conscious being. I'm not saying that I'm pro-abortion but i am pro-choice i.e. its up to the individual.

And at the other end of the spectrum, some people say there is a difference between killing one who is guilty of heinous crime and killing one who is blameless.

i'm against abortion. cause even though it's in the early stages of development, it's stilll killing a human being. I mean if the woman doesn't want her baby....why did she sleep with another guy in the first place?philsphan123

I'm against abortion because I feel it killing innocent children...and about the abortion after rape issue, there is a thing called adoption. If a mother can't be bothered to raise a baby, she should either be more careful about getting pregnant, or think about giving it up for adoption once it is born. There are plenty of parents out there that can't have children and would love to adopt.

As for the death penalty, as long as whoever is on death row and is actually guilty I'm all for it. Why waste more of the taxpayers money to keep them imprisoned for life? If someone's on death row though that is innocent, that is a different matter altogether.

you have three options-

pay that bit extra for the death penalty.

just give them life without parole and save a bit of money.

"streamline" the system to cut costs and put more innocent people to death.

What if the person was innocent? Also it conts a lot to do the death penalty, and the person being killed is a person too. Its not like I like murders and rapists, but they are people too.
