If you mean fiction, then this. If you really mean non-fiction, then I don't know.

I am guessing you mean fiction. Try the Nightwatch series of books.

Nice Dexter gif.

I recommend you go to a library, head to the section that interests you and browse for a couple of minutes until you find something interesting. It always worked for me.

"Shogun" was based on a true story, and by far the greatest novel I have ever read (and I read a LOT). It's written by James Clavelle, look it up. It's about the Europeans came to Japan for the first time (think The Last Samurai on steroids)

Read "The Game" by Neil Strauss. An essential read for 99% of all men (the other 1% somehow are born with the knowledge in that book. Don't ask me how because I had to read it to learn it.)

Non-fiction is boring, I live and hear about real life all the time... in real life. So when I read a book, its gonna be something more interesting than.... real life...

The adventures of tom Sawyer and huckleberry Finnmakaveli2344

Huck Finn was easily the best book I have had to read for class. Didn't read Tom Sawyer though.....

Anyways, I recommend checking out a book called Odd Thomas. It is a story about a guy who has a sort of 6th sense. He ends up learning, through his 6th sense, that there is a disaster that is about to hit town and he must do whatever he can to stop it. As overdone as that idea is, there are many things that make this such an incredible book and that put all other such stories to shame.

The characters are all very real and interesting, the writing is impecible, and the plot is paced perfectly. I get the feeling that this book is an example of how when you start writing a story it can end up writing itself, because it is so flawless.

Read the Philip Pullman books. Northern Lights (or the Golden Compass, depending upon where you are from) They are brilliant and relevant considering the film is out soon.

WWZ. It might not be your typical Fiction (LotR and the like) but it is very good.
