The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya does have a messed up order, that was how it was broadcast in Japan

The episodes are deliberately switched around a bit. It's intended to be that way. It gets much less confusing after the first episode though.Englando_IV

Let me give you an example, and tell me if its still correct

[spoiler] after the episode in which Yuki tells Kyon that she's an alien ends, an episode suddenly come up in which they're playing a baseball tournament, and they talk about 'closed space', and after that episode, it reverts to the episode which should have logically come next. [/spoiler]
