Recommend me a TV show

So I want a TV with fixed main characters,The can be supernatural or sci-fi,It must contain some action must not be too slow,The Tv should not be too short,preferred genres are Crime,Sci-fi,Supernatural,The show should NOT be a sitcom,The show must make the users attached to the characters and finally the show must be good.

Shows I've watched-Breaking Bad,Supernatural,The X-Files,The Shield,White Collar,Homeland,Mad Men,Dexter,The Twilight Zone.

The show can be old.So Any suggestions?

Friday Night Lights. It's a damn good drama, and although some side characters are phased out every season because it's about high school football, the Taylors and Buddy Garrity remain big characters throughout the show.

It's my third favorite drama after Mad Men and Breaking Bad.

Game of Thrones. Nuff said.

Easily one of the best tv shows ever made, it is a space western! Only 14 episodes and a movie to finish it of, but dam watch it.

From your description I would reccomend Fringe. It has Sci Fi paranormal themed xfiles kind of vibe. The first season's episodes dont seem to follow up plot wise troughout the episodes but it gets  better with the later seasons. The plot might seem confusing at first but is really clever and the characters are all really good, especially Walter (a mad professor kind of guy).  

Game of Thrones is my personal favourite show. Its a fantasy based drama/thriller about power and rivaling clans (Sopranos meets lord of the rings kind of vibe). The fantasy aspect of the series is never the main theme. The characters are the best any series has to offer. You will fall in love and/or hate many of them and will get attached to them. The story is top notch and trust me you will get emotionally attached to this show. Its simply the best show tv has to offer right now.

If you want to see a horror vibe tv show the the walking dead is excellent (zombie apocalypse ) and American Horror Story is also really good. The thing with AMS though is that the characters dont persist troughout seasons with some of the actors playing different roles. Each season has its own theme too (s1=haunted house, s2=asylum for the mad).

If you want more authentic drama thriller tv shows then Sopranos, the Wire, Sons of Anarchy & Boardwalk Empire are all very good but they are kind of slow paced. If you enjoyed the Shield you will most definetley like those shows too.

Im a big tv show geek and have seen lots of them and all I can say is that my top 3 shows are Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones & Sopranos.

Sons of Anarchy? If you liked Breaking Bad I feel like you'll enjoy it. Gameof Thrones is awesome too, if characters are what you're looking for.

Spartacus, its really amazing its the most action packed show I have ever seen, and it has a great story with great characters too. I highly recommend it.

To be honest it had a slightly underwhelming ending. But it is a superb show. And it changes a lot as the show progresses. Season 1 is your typical case-of-the-week show, with an X-Files vibe. That starts to change in season 2, where they start giving more emphasis to the overarching story arc instead of random cases, and that gets even more pronounced in seasons 3 and 4. Season 5 is completely different, without going into spoilers.
